SASAA - Lets Play Sing Dance & Talk -
Designed as a mobile open, inclusive and participatory live talk show . It targets Communities, Schools, Youth centres and other locations, creating a platform for the participants/community to engage in an open discussion, collectively seek solutions and in an informal and participatory manner learn new information in regard to issues that affect them. SASAA provides a platform for communities to mobilise and share with one another in an edutainment medium. SASAA sessions involve a host, an expert panel, performance groups and a live audience. Just like in a television talk show the host’s role is to facilitate and coordinates the session. The role of the expert panel is to share their technical know how on the developmental subject in discussion while the role of the performing groups is to localise, visualise and in a performative way exhibit the community altitudes towards the subject. The community role is to use their own knowledge and experience combine it with the new information learned from the panel and the performances to discuss and seek long term solutions and strategies to the developmental challenges they face. The session also has a monitoring and evaluation team, who record and document all the data and an Audio-visual team who develop audio and video documentaries of the program to be produced on cd, vcd, DVD and cd-rom for possible broadcast or sharing with others.
